Research and development of innovative methods and sensing technologies
We specialize big data/machine learning/AI and have applied these techniques to different domains in precision agriculture, health, smart cities, manufacturing, etc. We have built capacity and capability in handling various datasets such as remote sensing (e.g. satellite and drone imagery), IoT sensors, smartphones, texts, videos, etc. and capable of rapidly developing digital platform.
Particularly in precision agriculture, Here are some of our applications in crop disease diagnosis and nitrogen diagnosis using big data/machine learning/ AI and various large data such as, remote sensing (Satellite, Drone), Smartphone, IoT, etc.
1) http://agrione.farm , http://agrione.farm/category/product/ , we have developed Drone-enabled big data platform and mobile app to detect rice diseases in real time on field scale. The underlying techniques: big data, machine learning/AI, computer vision, cloud computing, mobile computing.

Our research interest include 1) Development of novel data analytics/machine learning/AI, 2) Development of novel architectures facilitating big data analytics using parallel computing/cloud computing, and 3) big data applications to different domains such as Agriculture, Health, Energy, Cybernetics, Smart Cities, etc.
