Research and development of innovative methods and sensing technologies
Our laboratory can contribute by recording processing and analyzing a large number of spectra, we can also participate in statistical modeling of different soil parameters with a multivariate approach using our experience in the field of molecular interactions as well. In this way we can extract the necessary chemical information necessary for various multidisciplinary research.
Our laboratory is relatively new in research related to soil spectroscopy, but we have many years of experience in spectroscopic research of various materials and fundamental interactions. Remote sensing methods require validation and calibration using laboratory spectroscopic methods, and also require the extraction of useful "chemical information", especially from complex matrices such as soil. Our laboratory can contribute to projects by recording, modeling and delivering useful chemical information. In Serbia and other countries in the Balkan region, the need and interest in precision agriculture methods is experiencing exponential growth and in that sense we are in contact with local researchers and organizations with a tendency towards joint projects and networking. As a member of the GLOSOLAN Organization (FAO) in the future we will participate in the construction of regional spectral libraries and to contribute to the construction of a global service for quality assessment based on IR spectroscopy.
